COVID-19

“Enhancing capacities of healthcare workers on COVID-19 pandemic and effective methods of individual protection and population level prevention measures in Adjara and Guria regions of Georgia” was funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czeck Republic. 108 brigades (Doctor-Nurse) in Adjara and 64 brigades in Guria received PPE Kits. The kits included1 box of medical gloves (100 gloves), 50 surgical facemasks, 20 medical gowns, 1 remote electric-thermometer, 1 faceshield and 1 Liter of spray-hand sanitizer

15 medical clinics from Adjara and 3 clinics from Guria received the following PPEs:

  • Medical (surgical) facemasks, 160,000 items
  • Faceshields (fog-resistant), 400 items
  • Gowns (surgical), 19,600 items
  • Medical gloves (nitrile), 160,000 pairs
  • Caps (surgical), 10,000 items
  • Hand sanitizers, 1,400 Liters
  • Mercury Thermometers, 190 items
  • Respirators (N 95), 2,200 items
  • Medical glasses, 2,200 items
  • Medical jumpsuites, 400 items

All doctors received the protocol approved by the Ministry of Health, booklets for patients and posters. 193 hospital doctors and nurses attended trainings. Posters and booklets have been delivered to all hospitals and polyclinics. At the request of ambulance doctors, posters have been delivered to the ambulances services as well.

The video clip on the rules of conduct during the ICOVD-19 pandemic produced by the project has been showed on TV monitors in the following hospitals: Medcenter, Medalpha clinics in Batumi, general hispitals in Ozurgeti and Chokhatauri.
